2008 SCHOOL YEAR
The new school year got off to a good start when SABC opened its doors again
this year for registration and orientation classes. Then followed
the official opening day for the new school year, January 25th. There are
some faculty changes this year. Zechariah Mbewe is no longer teaching at
SABC. He has returned to Zambia. Sherman Mclaren, SABC grad, is now teaching
a course at the Bible College.
LECTURESHIP 2008 IN THE PLANNING
The 2008 SABC Lectureship is scheduled for Sunday, 28 September through
Thursday, October 2. Those dates were especially selected because all nine
provinces will have their school recess during that period. The theme is
"Spreading the Flame", emphasizing missions, evangelism, and training. So
far, definite visitors from afar are Bev and Bill Watkins, minister of
Crieve Hall congregation in Nashville,
Tennessee, and one of their elders, Galyon Northcutt. Bill Bryant of the
Wooddale congregation in Knoxville is
also a definite.
